What's new in StitchAble

Fixed
- Live no longer crashes when opening a built set. Dangling linked-track-group references were left behind during the merge; they are cleaned up properly now, so the set opens every time.
- Tempo no longer bleeds into the next song. Each song holds its own tempo through the boundary instead of carrying the previous one across.

- Control track review window. Check what the set will build before you build it, rather than finding a problem once it is open in Live.
Changed
- Choosing your songs folder is far more forgiving. StitchAble now finds your songs whether each one is a song folder with an Ableton project inside, a single song folder you point at directly, a loose
.als file, or a flat folder of .als files. Key, BPM, and time signature are read from the best-named folder, or from the .als filename.
New
- Set a song's key by hand in the running order when it was not found in the song's name, so transpose-to-key and the key display work for it like any other song.
Fixed
- Choosing a folder with no Ableton projects now says so, "No Ableton projects (.als) found," instead of silently showing nothing.
Added
- Free trial and activation. StitchAble is free to download and build with, up to 10 sets of 3 songs, with every feature working. A license key lifts the caps in the app you already have, so there is nothing to reinstall.
- Site pages for the app, including the manual.
Fixed
- The transition preview now anchors the same way the real build does, so what you audition is what you get.
- Count-in number cues are matched to your installed voice, so the count says what it should.
First release
- Multi-song merge. Combine your finished song projects into one gapless Ableton Live set, native Live songs and MultiTracks or Live 8 sessions alike, converting as it goes.
- Zero-setup click and guide. The sounds install themselves, so there is nothing to download before your first set, and the whole set gets one click and one guide.
- Returns review. Every song’s returns reconciled onto the outputs you actually use.
- Transpose and transitions. Move any song up to 12 semitones, pitch only, and choose every seam: a bar of gap, gapless, or an overlap up to 8 bars. Audition any seam before you build.
- Folder-name cleanup. Fix a mis-typed folder name and relink that song’s samples in place, or use Rename all to canonicalize every non-standard folder in one pass.
- Add Pack. Bring in extra guide and click packs, including the MultiTracks samples or your own recordings.
- A missing cue stays quiet. If a cue has no recording in your chosen voice, StitchAble leaves it silent rather than speaking a different section, so the guide never announces something misleading.
- Transposing across an overlap switches to the pitch-shifting plugin method automatically, so two songs playing at once stay in time with each other.
